FOUNDER

Marc Bromfield

Founder, Lightware

Marc Bromfield brings more than 20 years of software engineering experience alongside business and product leadership. His career includes engineering roles at The Walt Disney Company and Universal Studios. At Universal, he served as a software architect and lead backend developer supporting the launch of Volcano Bay.

Marc founded Lightware to help small businesses access practical technology expertise. Its work has grown from websites into custom software, mobile apps, integrations, and AI. He took GITT and Beneficiary Plan from idea to production, contributing across development, architecture, product direction, and team leadership.

His perspective also comes from running a business: he spent approximately four years as Managing Director of Damarc Trucking & Imports Ltd. and now serves on its board. That combination shapes his approach to helping clients build software around how their businesses actually work.

How we work with you

Four stages, in plain language. What each one includes commercially is agreed after we have talked.

  1. 01

    Understand the business need

We learn how the work moves today, including the informal paths, and what the change is meant to achieve.

  2. 02

    Define a practical scope

We agree what to build first and what can wait.

  3. 03

    Build in reviewable stages

You see working software throughout, and we adjust while adjusting is still cheap.

  4. 04

    Hand over or keep operating

A maintainable handover to your team, or ongoing operation by us — whichever we agree suits the system.

What working with us is like

  • You talk to the people building it

The people in the conversation are the people doing the work. Nothing is translated through an account layer.

  • Business need before technology

We explain the problem and the solution in plain language. Stack decisions follow the work rather than leading it.

  • Honest about fit

If an engagement is not right for us, we say so early and point you somewhere more useful.

Tell us what you want to build or make better.

A 15-minute conversation about what you want to build or improve. We'll discuss your needs and identify a sensible next step.
